flying: Empty Nesters

A post at GHW rephrases an article (currently unavailable because its publisher was a Bluehost-using cheapskate), that basically says how empty-nesters downsize to LSAs because they don't need to haul the family around anymore. IMHO it is likely a factor, but the need to plan for lost medical and BRS has to be playing a role, too.

UPDATE: GHW posed a follow-up about Jabiru 230, which is yet again a CT wannabe, although with a stronger pedigree due to its solid history in Australia. Naturally, it comes with a Jabiru engine, which I heard badmouthed for not making to promised TBO. Width of LSAs exceeding that of Skyhawk is not anything unusual: CT is wider than Skyhawk too. I honestly do not understand why and being 200 cm tall but not very fat I would rather have the headroom. But it is what it is.

It shold be noted however, that GHW is based in England, and Flight Design is not as dominant in Europe as it is in America. But I don't have any specific numbers.
